Network analysis and transport
OBJECTIVES:
To problematize network analysis. Discuss the topological and geometrical structure of transport networks. Presentation of some algorithms for solving transport problems. Analysing transport networks in GIS: the principles of transport networks modelling, geometry and databases. Modelling simple and multimodal transport networks.

III. Transport problems; Algorithms for solving transport problems; Determination of optimal paths; Linear programming;
IV. Network analysis in GIS; Principles of network modelling in vector GIS; Definition of multimodal networks; Path optimization; Determination of areas of influence.
