The Integrated Master in Architecture with Specialization in Interiors and Building Rehabilitation is a complete Architecture study, with the same academic and professional recognition as the main branch of the Integrated Master in Architecture. To the more generalist knowledge of the main branch of Architecture, this course adds a concentration of knowledge within the scope of the definition, qualification and detail of built spaces and the rehabilitation of buildings, also offering valences in more contemporary aspects such as interventions in ephemeral architecture within the scope of exhibition spaces, performance spaces, etc. In this way, this course, without neglecting the disciplinary aspects of the practice of architecture in a more conventional way, responds to contemporary challenges and the diversity of requests from the current professional market, which could be decisive in the future success of the integration of students in the job market. This course is composed by two cycles of studies (mandatory for the professional exercise, by the Portuguese Architects Association).

Objectives

This integrated master's degree aims to complement the classical and general architecture training with contemporary aspects of reflection and disciplinary production, providing students with the skills to address the various challenges that today's society offers the profession. Among these challenges are the mastery of the more in-depth design of architectural spaces, making use of knowledge of materials and their specificities, the ability to interpret and dialogue in an aesthetic and cultural way with pre-existing structures and built spaces, and also the ability to approach ephemeral architecture projects in different programs such as exhibition areas or venues. With this specialization, you acquire the professional status of Architect with access to the Order of Architects.
